- A normal activity season for 2017.
- Genesis, total landfalls over China, and Tropical Cyclones impacting south China are expected to be within normal range.
- A below normal activity for Tropical Cyclones impacting eastern China is expected.
- 23 – 25 Tropical Storms are forecast to form over the Western North Pacific Ocean and South China Sea
- 12 – 13 Tropical Cyclones are expected to significantly impact China
