Hong Kong, 25 October 2022 – Peak Reinsurance Company Limited (“Peak Re” or the “Company”) announced that it is relocating its headquarters to 13/F, 14/F, 15/F and 15M/F of the WKCDA Tower in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), a new vibrant cultural quarter located along the Victoria Harbour in the heart of Hong Kong.

“WKCD will be developed into a Cultural CBD (Central Business Centre) of Hong Kong given its prime location surrounded by world-class arts and cultural facilities,” said Mr. Franz Josef Hahn, the Chief Executive Officer of Peak Re.

With a varied mix of world-class museums, performing arts venues, park and public open spaces, retail, dining and entertainment, as well as office spaces, WKCD is the most important and strategic investment in arts and culture by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

“We are honoured to be selected as one of the tenants of the WKCDA Tower. This reflects the company’s success and demonstrates Peak Re’s status and official recognition,” said Mr. Hahn.

Importantly, the relocation will provide the necessary infrastructure and space for the Company to progress into its next phase of development.

“We have grown significantly since our founding in 2012, from a Hong Kong-based start-up to a global reinsurance company that is well regarded by clients and stakeholders. Our new headquarters, comprising of around 38,000 square feet of office space, embodies sustainable development principles to provide a platform for the advancement of business, culture, economy and environment to employees and clients. We want to share the good news with everyone, as Peak Re continues to innovate and improve because of your support and trust.”

As a part of the Company’s ESG initiatives, Peak Re will pursue LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) & WELL gold certifications for its new office.

LEED is a rating system that provides a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. The WELL Building Standard is a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impacts human health and well-being.
